About Theatrixx Technologies

Signal conversion for live video is what the Theatrixx range is built around: the xVision converter platform, designed for the touring world rather than the broadcast rack room, with internal power supplies instead of plug-top adapters, locking connectors, rigging points and chassis built to survive the truck.

xVision HD units handle bidirectional HDMI to 3G-SDI conversion and SDI to HDMI feeds for local monitors. The 4K units carry 12G-SDI onto singlemode or multimode fibre over opticalCON DUO connectors, and back again, for long runs between FOH, stage and LED processing. HDBaseT conversion, 1:4 3G-SDI distribution amplifiers and reversible modules, including a dual 12G-SDI fibre converter and a 1:3 DMX splitter, extend the system, with the xPressCue media player covering playback. NANUK carry cases sized for one or two A-size or B-size converters protect units in transit, and locking HDMI 2.0 cables in 2m, 3m and 5m lengths stop connectors creeping out on stage decks.

For rental houses the platform logic is the point: standardise on xVision and one set of converters covers most of the signal problems a video engineer meets on site. Integrators and touring suppliers can buy through a trade account, with advice on speccing a converter inventory.
