About Loudspeaker Management Processors (DSP)

Loudspeaker management processors and install DSP from Martin Audio, NEXO, Linea Research, BSS and Biamp. This is the box between console and amplifiers: crossovers, EQ, delay and limiting that turn a rack of amps and cabinets into a system, with Martin Audio’s DX range, the NEXO DTD controllers and the Linea Research ASC48 all offered in standard and Dante-networked versions.

Start with input and output count, the DX4.0 runs four inputs to eight outputs, which covers a stereo system with subs, fills and delays, while smaller DX models suit simpler rigs. Then decide how audio arrives: analogue is simple and robust, while Dante makes sense once the console, stagebox or install infrastructure already lives on a network. If you run NEXO cabinets, the DTD controllers carry the factory processing those systems are designed around, and the same logic applies to Martin Audio boxes and the DX range, since manufacturer presets protect drivers and are the difference between loud and right. BSS and Biamp sit at the install end of the category for room combining, paging and conference DSP.

Any of these will also run generic two-way and sub crossovers for mixed-brand rigs.
