About Racks & Wall Plates

Penn Elcom 19-inch rack hardware and connectivity: punched, vented, blank and cable-access panels, mesh doors, touring-grade drawers, flat pack rack systems, D-series wall plates and the captive nuts and cup washers that hold it all together, with BSS also represented in the range.

Building a tidy rack starts with the panel schedule. Punched panels take standard D-series connectors, from four ways across 1U up to 36 ways across 3U, so patch fields can be laid out to mirror the stage plan. Vented panels keep air moving around amplifiers, blanks close the gaps, and cable-access panels give rear looms a clean route out of the rack. For fixed installs, flat pack rack systems and mesh doors make serviceable machine-room racks; for touring, drawers in shallow and standard depths keep tools and spares with the rig. Fixings matter more than they look, and M6 captive nuts and cup washers in trade packs mean the rack strip never becomes the bottleneck mid-build.

D-type wall plates extend the same connector format out to walls and risers, pairing naturally with the stage boxes and multicore gear elsewhere in Cables & Power.
