About Conference Systems

Boardroom and meeting room microphone systems, from discreet button boundary mics up to networked ceiling arrays. The range runs from Shure Microflex MX395 and MX396 button boundaries and Sennheiser’s MEB104 cardioid boundary through to the TeamConnect Ceiling beamforming array with Dante and PoE, alongside conferencing hardware from Biamp and Martin Audio.

The first decision is table versus ceiling. Boundary mics are simple to deploy and easy to service, but they need cable paths through the furniture and they hear table taps and paper shuffle; ceiling arrays keep the table clear and steer their pickup towards talkers automatically, with the TeamConnect Ceiling Medium covering rooms around 40 square metres per unit. If the room runs on a networked AV system, PoE power and Dante audio transport reduce the install to a single network cable per array. For boundary mics, check the polar pattern against the seating plan, cardioid for a single talker position, multi-element or bidirectional versions for facing pairs, and decide whether users need LED mute indication or a physical button.

We spec these alongside DSP and installed PA daily, so ask about Dante routing before committing to a room topology.
