Phono termination for DJ and playback rigs: Seetronic’s MT380 range of RCA cable connectors, with male plugs in black (MT380) and red (MT380-2) plus the MT390 female cable-mount socket for extending or repairing leads.

These are cable-mount connectors with gold-plated contacts in a zinc alloy shell, taking cable from roughly 3.5mm to 6.5mm outside diameter, so they suit the coaxial stock normally used for unbalanced interconnects. Colour-coded shells keep left and right identifiable at both ends of a lead without resorting to tape or sleeving. Phono connections are unbalanced, so keep runs short and route them away from mains looms to avoid hum; they belong on DJ mixers, turntables and consumer playback sources rather than long balanced ties, and the female connector earns its keep when a damaged inline socket would otherwise mean binning the whole cable.
