Specialist effect lasers make up Laserworld’s FX Series, represented here by the FX-700 Hydro, a 700 mW RGB unit rated Class 3R and built into an IP65 waterproof housing for outdoor use. Rather than scanning beams and graphics, it uses a rotating multi-mirror head to throw a moving field of colour-mixing laser dots across a deflection angle of around 60 degrees, with fade and strobe effects and white output from the RGB sources.

The whole unit is passively cooled with no fans, draws 15 W, weighs 2.4 kg and comes with 5 m power and DMX tails, so it suits garden installs, terraces and festival decor as well as indoor work. Control is stand-alone, DMX or master and slave. Haze or a suitable surface is still needed for the effect to register, and normal laser-safety practice on mounting and beam paths applies.
