About Analogue Zone Mixers

Built for background music and paging in bars, restaurants, retail and similar commercial spaces, this section holds Allen & Heath’s analogue zone mixing hardware, currently the 1U rack-mount GR4. It takes four mic inputs on rear Phoenix connectors and four stereo sources on phonos, with a front-panel 3.5mm jack for a portable player, and feeds four zones: two stereo outputs, each switchable to mono via internal jumpers, plus two further mono zone outputs. Ducking and priority paging are built in, so announcements push over the music without an operator present.

Day-to-day control can move out of the rack: the PL-14 wall plate gives staff local source selection and level control in the room itself, and the PL-5 infrared handheld remote adds wireless recall of up to four source and level presets. Digital alternatives sit under Digital Mixing Systems.
