About Curved Array PA Speakers

Sitting between point source and full line array, constant curvature arrays use cabinets with a fixed splay to build predictable arcs of coverage without the rigging complexity of a variable-angle hang. The category is led by Martin Audio’s TORUS series, with the T1230 and T1215 12 inch elements and the T820 8 inch element, alongside NEXO’s GEO M6 passive elements and dedicated ground stack hardware.

The number at the end of a TORUS model tells you its vertical coverage, so a T1215 and a T1230 share the same footprint but paint different depths of room, and short arcs of two or three cabinets do work that would otherwise need a small line array. That makes constant curvature a strong fit for wide, shallow rooms, balconies, fills and premium portable rigs. When planning, decide early whether cabinets fly or ground stack, since brackets such as the sub ground stack kit for the T12 determine the deployment options, and check the amplifier plan, as these elements are passive and expect properly processed amplification.

The passive elements and accessories each have their own sub-category here, and the matching amplifiers, rigging and subwoofers live in the neighbouring PA sections. Talk to us before mixing elements across an arc; coverage maths is where these systems are won.
