About Confetti Canons
Confetti hits sell a moment like nothing else, and this section covers Equinox’s launcher range plus the control to fire it, with Chauvet DJ also represented among the brands.
The hardware splits by job. The C-Shot is the compact single-shot base: it takes pre-filled 50cm and 80cm electric confetti and streamer cannons, angles to suit the rig and fires from a switched 230V feed or a controller. The Twin Shot MKII carries two cartridges that fire separately or together, with each launch pod independently adjustable through 180 degrees, and accepts most brands of electric cartridge; control is by the included wireless remote, the on-board menu or three DMX channels, with M10 rigging points for truss mounting. The Confetti Burst works differently, blowing loose confetti rather than firing cartridges, no compressed air or CO2 needed, throwing roughly five metres up and covering around 20 square metres per burst. The Detonator ties a rig together: four switched power output channels behind a master safety key, with an arming switch on every channel so nothing fires early and one operator can hit multiple cannons on a single cue.
Decide between confetti and streamers first. Confetti gives the airborne, slow-falling moment that photographs well from every angle; streamers throw solid lines that read strongly on camera and clear far quicker afterwards. Leave clearance above and in front of each cannon, keep output angled away from anyone at close range, and clear the drop with the venue early. Order consumable loads alongside the hardware so the first show is not the one you run out on.
