About Personal Mixers and IP Controllers

Personal monitor mixing and remote IP control for the Allen & Heath ecosystem. On the monitoring side sit the ME-1 forty-source personal mixer and the simpler sixteen-channel ME-500, fed over Cat5 from a console or the ME-U hub, which adds PoE power and card slots for Dante, MADI and other networks. On the control side, the IP1, IP4, IP6 and IP8 wall and desk controllers plus the CC-10 tablet give installers assignable hardware control over AHM matrix processors, dLive and Avantis without exposing a full mixing interface.

For personal monitoring, the choice between ME-1 and ME-500 is about who is using it: the ME-1 suits players who want deep control of many sources, while the ME-500 suits volunteer-run and rental situations where sixteen grouped channels and simple knobs are safer. Check how you will distribute signal and power, daisy-chaining works for small stages but an ME-U hub cleans up larger ones. For IP controllers, plan PoE switch ports at the design stage and match faceplates to the market, since the IP1 faceplate comes in EU/UK versions.

Both halves of the category exist to keep untrained hands away from the main console while still giving people the control they legitimately need.
