About Combi Cables

Combined power and data leads from Elumen8 and LEDJ that run a fixture’s mains and DMX down one jacket: IEC plus 3-pin XLR versions for classic fixtures, and Seetronic PowerTwist and TR1 builds with 3-pin or 5-pin DMX for current stock, including IP65-rated TR1 versions with 2.5mm power cores for outdoor work.

The case for combi cable is speed and tidiness, one run per fixture hop instead of two, which halves dressing time along a truss and keeps power and data the same length. These are British-made leads built for touring: genuine Seetronic connectors, oxygen-free copper signal cores, harmonised H05VV-F power cores in 1.5mm or 2.5mm, and a nylon-braided sleeve secured with adhesive-lined heatshrink where the two tails part at each end. Match both ends to the fixtures before ordering, since connector standards do not mix: an IEC and 3-pin lead is no use to a TRUE1-compatible and 5-pin fixture, and the 3-pin versus 5-pin DMX split should follow whatever your fixtures and console cabling already use. For outdoor and IP-rated fixtures, use the IP65 versions and keep the ingress rating consistent along the whole chain, because a sealed fixture fed through an unsealed connector is not a sealed system.

Straight power leads and standalone DMX lines are in their own categories for when the two need to part ways.
