About Midi Controllers

Compact MIDI control for DJ setups, currently the Allen & Heath Xone:K3. It packs 52 physical controls, twelve pots, four 60mm faders, six push-switch endless encoders and thirty RGB-backlit switches, into a diecast metal chassis sized to sit beside a Xone mixer, and three switchable layers take the assignable total to 174 MIDI commands, enough to put loops, FX, cue points and library navigation under hardware control.

It is class-compliant over USB-C, so it needs no drivers on any platform and draws its power from the host, while twin X:Link ports connect it to X:Link-equipped Xone mixers such as the Xone:96. For the analogue Xone boards, which deliberately keep software out of the mixer itself, a dedicated controller remains the cleanest way to add digital features without giving up the analogue signal path.
