About Video Cables

HDMI and SDI cables for event video: playback machines, screens, switchers, cameras and IMAG. LEDJ covers HDMI 2.0 with Ethernet for 4K and HDMI 2.1 with Ethernet for 8K, in the short lengths that suit racks and lecterns, while Elumen8 BNC cables handle HD-SDI and UHD-SDI runs up to 50m.

Distance decides the format. HDMI is happiest on short hops between local kit; once a signal heads across a stage or up to a projection position, SDI over coax with locking BNC connectors is the dependable choice, which is why camera and broadcast workflows live on it. Choose UHD-SDI for 4K paths and HD-SDI where 1080 is the ceiling. On HDMI, match the version to the job rather than defaulting to the newest: 2.0 handles 4K playback, while 2.1 buys the bandwidth for 8K or high-frame-rate 4K. Keep spares of the short lengths, because HDMI connectors take the most abuse in a rack and are usually the first casualty on a changeover.

Video runs sit alongside the audio, DMX and power cable ranges, so a full cable prep can be specced in one pass.
