About Haze Machines

Haze hangs in the air as a fine, even veil rather than a visible cloud, and it is what makes beams from moving heads, lasers and profiles actually read. The section runs from compact units like the Chauvet DJ Hurricane Haze 1DX and Elumen8 SH-1200 through the Equinox Vapour 1000 and Chauvet Professional Amhaze Eco up to the Amhaze Stadium 2X IP for outdoor and large-format work, with ADJ’s Entour Venue and Entourage faze machines in between.

Hazer versus fazer is the first fork. Fazers such as the Entour Venue generate a haze-style output from fog fluid and typically get working faster, while dedicated hazers produce a finer particle that hangs longer and reads more evenly, which matters for theatre and broadcast. Size the output to the room honestly, since an underpowered hazer running flat out will never fill a warehouse, and a stadium-class unit will swamp a small stage before the first number ends. DMX control earns its place when haze levels need to change between songs or scenes, and an IP-rated housing is the difference between a festival stage and a dead machine after one shower. Match fluid to the machine per the manufacturer to protect both the unit and its warranty.

Fluids live in the Smoke & Haze Fluid category, and Stage Supply can advise on sizing a hazer to a specific venue.
