Ellipsoidal spots put a hard, shapeable edge exactly where it is needed, with framing shutters and gobo projection for texture and precise specials. This section is built around Chauvet Professional’s Ovation LED range: the E-910FC and E-910FC-2 full-colour ellipsoidals, the IP-rated E-910FC IP, the Ovation Reve E-3, and the HD lens tubes, zoom tubes and drop-in iris that configure them, with ADJ and Chauvet DJ also represented.

Body and lens tube are separate decisions. The fixture body sets the light engine, full-colour LED across the Ovation units here, while the tube sets the beam angle, so work out throw distances first: a 19 degree tube suits long throws from a rear position, 36 and 50 degree tubes cover shorter throws and wider areas, and the 15-30 and 25-50 degree zoom tubes cover changing venues without swapping glass. A drop-in iris tightens the beam without changing tubes at all. For open-air stages and exposed positions, the IP-rated E-910FC IP is the body built for it.
