The Sennheiser EW-D AB is an inline antenna booster for Evolution Wireless Digital (EW-D) systems, providing a typical 12 dB of gain to compensate for RF signal loss over long coaxial antenna runs. It is inserted between a remote antenna and the receiver-side EW-D ASA active antenna splitter, drawing its power down the same coax, making it the standard fix for distributed antenna installs in theatres, houses of worship and touring rigs. This is the S band variant covering 606–694 MHz, which includes Channel 38 (606–614 MHz), the UK band available under the Ofcom shared coordinated licence.
Designed for use with Sennheiser EW-D systems via the EW-D ASA active antenna splitter. The booster is fitted in the antenna line and is fed DC power from the splitter, passed from the OUT connector through to the ANT (antenna) connector — no separate power supply is required. Match the S band (606–694 MHz) variant to your system’s frequency range; in the UK, Channel 38 operation requires an Ofcom licence.
