ZED-420 features a 2 in / 2 out USB audio interface with flexible send options — Main Mix L+R pre or post-fader, Auxes 1–2 or Auxes 3–4. The USB return comes back in on a dedicated stereo channel for playback and monitoring.

Allen & Heath's analogue engineers designed the MusiQ EQ especially for ZED mixers. ZED-420 features a responsive 4-band EQ with sweepable high and low mid frequencies — more surgical control than the ZED Mid range, ideal for demanding live environments.

The preamps on ZED-420 provide a huge 69dB of gain — enough for low output dynamic microphones and quiet acoustic sources — while keeping noise and distortion to a minimum.
